WordPress & Web Design

Over the last year, as I have designed websites, redesigned sites, and worked with WordPress, I finally came to a conclusion…

Why not use WordPress for all my sites?  After all, I can make a WordPress site look any way I want (which is the focus of web design).  And the ability of WordPress to add just about any kind of functionality to a website simply and easily is astounding.  The power of WordPress is it’s system of plugins.

It’s very much like “apps” on your smartphone.  If you want to do a podcast with your website, there’s a plugin for that. If you want to have a mobile site, there’s a plugin for that.  If you want to use your site for e-commerce and sell xyz on your site, there’s a plugin for that.

With this much functionality as the base and a great design on the face… why not use WordPress for all my sites?

So in short, I pretty much will be using WordPress for the management system for all my websites.  (And if you don’t want it, it’s your choice, but you’ll probably regret it down the line.

My base price for a website with a WordPress CMS backend is $500. Additional charges may apply based on the functionality you desire in the site (e-commerce, event registration, membership & paid downloads, email list manager, etc.)
